The Map Tile Solution provides specialized applications for cleaning and validating tiled spatial data sets to ensure "seamless" data.

EDGE TIE 3D
EDGE TIE 3D joins linear features at map tile boundaries. This ensures that map features at tile boundaries connect at exact 3D (X,Y,Z) nodes. Modifications carried out are flagged for post inspection using EDIT 3D.

EDGE CHECK 3D
EDGE CHECK 3D checks that corresponding endpoints between adjacent geographic map tiles connect at exact 3D (X,Y,Z) nodes. Any unmatched endpoints are flagged for correction using EDIT 3D.

Both EDGE TIE 3D and EDGE CHECK 3D can be executed from within a MAPS 3D script for batch processing. For the additional utility to accompany the Map Tile Solution, we suggest: MAP SURROUND 3D, CLIP 3D, MAP PROJECTION 3D, EDGE CHECK-3D or NAD 3D
