The Contour Solution package is a set of tools for automated contouring from a TIN 3D digital terrain model. It includes the following modules:

• CONTOUR 3D
  CONTOUR 3D generates user-defined index and intermediate contours from a MAPS 3D TIN surface. Definite, depression and indefinite contours are produced based on the definition of the data in the TIN surface. Contours can be smoothed to improve cartographic appearance.

• CONTEXT 3D
  CONTEXT 3D provides interactive assignment and placement of text labels on index and intermediate contours, individually or as a ladder. It includes automatic determination of contour values and line masking for cartographic appearance.

CONTOUR 3D can be executed from within a MAPS 3D script for batch processing of multiple files.
